On November 6th, 2008, at the dedication ceremony of the Coin of the Realm building being registered as a historic building dating back to the 1700's, the Prime Minister of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas, the Rt. Hon Hubert A. Ingraham acknowledged that since 1977, "Bahamians and visitors alike have come to regard Coin of the Realm as synonymous with excellence and friendly service. This shop has a well-earned reputation for valuable coins and fine jewellery, including coins that are associated with our own history, and jewellery featuring our own conch pearl".
